Most cosmetic tourists travel to developing parts of the world, such as Latin America and South Asia.2 Cosmetic surgery abroad has advantages such as shorter waiting lists, anonymity and lower costs, combined with a vacation.1-2 Although this seems appealing, it also carries risks.
