My colleagues and I thank Papastergiou et al1 for their comments on our article entitled, "Polypectomy for complete endoscopic resection of small colorectal polyps."2 We agree with them that EMR has high efficacy for resecting small colorectal polyps, and we understand their worry about our study. In their study, the rates of complete resection and adverse events of cold snare EMR were compared with hot snare EMR for small colorectal polyps. The results showed that no postprocedural bleeding or perforation occurred in either group.
