Irradiance, as well as body site and timing of readings, is important in determining ultraviolet A minimal erythemal dose: reply from the authors

Abstract

We would like to thank Eadie et al.1 for their interest in our study recently published in the BJD.2 Eadie et al.1 suggested that the discrepancies between the ultraviolet (UV)A1 minimal erythema doses (MEDs) observed in our recent study2 and the doses previously reported by Beattie et al.3 were mainly due to differences in irradiance, anatomical site and timing of MED readings.
